Primary Function:

*Processes billing authorizations daily, makes any adjustments necessary, mails customer copy as well as copies to brokers, sales managers, etc.

*Processes bills of lading for shipping, post them and log them out as they are billed.

*Processes documents on sales to military and report customers.

*Recap perpetual inventory of basket, boxed up and frozen product by code, distribute copies and files daily inventory of product.

*Prepares daily all credits and adjustments and signed bills of lading.

*Performs duties of receptionist for Sales Department.

III. Major Responsibilities:

*Prepares billing authorization from shipping manifest, making any adjustments necessary.

*Enters sales, inventory, and production information on EDP terminal.

*Maintains all invoices, certificates, bills of lading, manifest, credits and adjustments in the proper files.

*Processes freight bills for payment, as approved by appropriate department head, matches file copy to corresponding invoice.

*Prepares and distributes an accounts receivable report daily.

*Prepares certificates for oversea shipments.

*Recaps weekly freezer report on PC terminal.

*Prepares commissions and accrual reports for chill pack customers.

*Assists outside auditors in performing audits.

*Assists in answering telephone; take messages and wait on customers.

*Prepares mail for sales office daily.

*Cross trains and assists on all sales related functions.

*Assists in surveys and other projects for sales representatives.

*Takes quarterly inventory of product in freezer.

*Performs other duties as directed by Chief Accountant, Sales Manager, and Customer Service Manager.

Key Working Relationships:

*Coordinates sales orders for shipping.

*Communicates with processing on frozen product.

*Advises Sales Manager of special requests, orders, problems, etc.

*Coordinates inventory with sales.

*Communicates with General office in reference to invoices.

Position Requirements:

Academic: High school diploma, with general business skills and training in use of CRT.

Knowledge of accounting, bookkeeping, computer, calculator and some secretarial duties.

Experience: Two year's experience in a business environment in customer service.

Personal: Identifies with the values, philosophy and mission of Sanderson Farms, Inc.

Have good organizational ability and be thorough and accurate.

Pleasant telephone personality and good communication skills.

Ability to handle pressure and be tactful and cooperative.
